Die aktuellen Grafiken zeigen es: Corona, mit der Variante Omikron ist immer noch eine Bedrohung für unsere Gesundheit.

In den grossen Online-Nachrichtenmagazinen wie hier im Spiegel.de setzt sich die Dashboard-Darstellung durch. 

 

Wobei zu bemerken ist, dass manche Magazine, wie hier die Zeit.de mit einer höheren Informationsdichte aufwarten und somit einen besseren Überblick gewähren.

Der Bildvergleich zeigt, dass das Ansteckungsrisiko mit Omikron extrem zugenommen hat, aber die Zahl der Intensivpatienten im Vergleich zu anderen Wellen mehr oder weniger konstant geblieben ist. Die relativ gute Nachricht aber ist, dass Krankheitsverläufe weniger tödlich enden.

Trotzdem sollte immer noch große Vorsicht im Hinblick auf Schutzmaßnahmen und Verhaltensregeln herrschen. Corona ist noch lange nicht vorbei.

 Lassen sich aus Grafiken dieser Art, die sich auf eine Messreihe von 60 Jahren beziehen, eindeutige Aussagen zum Klimawandel machen? Wohl eher nicht.....

Here we have some examples of which kind of graphic sources they use to present their data. Less use of pie charts and the continuous use of bar charts instead could have been benefic for the readability of the infographic.
